Prof. Dr. Dr. Ümit İNAN started to serve at BATIGÖZ Balçova branch in 2022. Dr. Ümit İNAN, who completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Izmir, graduated from Ege University Faculty of Medicine in 1993, completed his specialisation in Ophthalmology at Celal Bayar University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Ophthalmology in 1999, and started to work as an "Assistant Professor" at Kocatepe University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Ophthalmology in the same year. Dr Ümit İnan was appointed as "Associate Professor" in 2004 and "Professor" in 2009. He worked at the private ParkHayat Hospital between 2017-2021 and İzmir Private CAN Hospital between 2021-2022. He has more than 100 scientific research articles published in national and international refereed journals. Prof. Dr. Ümit İNAN is an active member of the Vitreoretinal Surgery Unit and Medical Retina Unit of the Turkish Ophthalmological Association and is also a member of the "American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO)", "The American Society of Retina Specialists (ASRS)", "The European Society of Vitreoretinal Specialists (EVRS)", "The European Retina, Macula and Vitreous Society (EURETINA)" and "the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO)".His special interest is medical and surgical treatment of retinal diseases, uveitis and eye traumas. He has clinical studies on Diabetic Retinopathy, Age Related Macular Degeneration (Yellow Spot Disease) and Retinal Detachment. Dr. Ümit İNAN also provides eye health services to patients in Cataract Surgery, Intraocular Lens Applications, Laser Surgery and Glaucoma at Batıgöz Balçova Surgical Medical Centre where he is currently working. Dr Inan has dedicated his life to being a good clinician physician-surgeon, scientist, educator and a good person. He is married and has 3 children.
